So got up this morning after a great night’s sleep. I woke up about 30 minutes before my alarm went off which is a good sign. After going through my normal morning routine, I jumped in my mail truck to go to work.
As I was backing out, I could feel that my tire was flat. I remembered that I had bought a “fix a flat” inflator a couple of months back. After retrieving the inflator, I began to put this thick stringy gelatinous substance into my tire. While doing so, the valve stem got clogged. So, I squeezed harder, then even harder, on the tube. Guess what happened next…. You guessed it, the hose exploded came off of the nozzle, and I got this stuff all over my pants. I was thinking it probably is going to start burning or something.
Any who, I remove the tubing and began to inflate the tire. I went and changed pants while the tire was airing up. After putting up my tools, I heard the hissing. After searching for only a couple of seconds, I found the culprit. A small nail was safely embedded to the head in my tread.
No problem, at least this can be plugged and I won’t have to get a new Tire.
So I jump into my other truck and crank up. I put my seat belt on and check my mirrors… My mirror…
I have to laugh out loud at this point.
My driver-side mirror was hanging away from the mirror adjustment bed by the defrost wires. I pushed it back in, knowing it wouldn’t stay, and went to work. As I walked through the door whistling, my boss asks “why are you in such a good mood?”
God is great!!!
